Force Master Chief, Naval Special Warfare Command
FORCE MASTER CHIEF STEVEN D. STUDDARD, US NAVY
Master Chief Studdard is a native of Alabama and a 1982 graduate of Berry High School. In December 1984 he enlisted in the Navy and attended boot camp at Naval Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes. He entered the UDT/SEAL pipeline and successfully completed Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training, Class 137 in May 1986.
His previous duty stations include SEAL Team Four, Naval Special Warfare Development Group, Naval Special Warfare Tactical and Evaluation Squadron Two, Naval Special Warfare Tactical and Evaluation Squadron One, CMC of Naval Special Warfare Tactical and Evaluation Squadron Two, Operations Master Chief at Naval Special Warfare Group TWO, and CMC of Naval Special Warfare Group TWO.
He was selected as the Naval Special Warfare, Force Master Chief in February 2010 and assigned to Commander, Naval Special Warfare Command where he currently serves.
Master Chief Studdard’s qualifications include Static Line and Military Free Fall parachutist and Jumpmaster, Open and Closed Circuit Diver, and Diving Supervisor.
His personal awards include three Bronze Stars with “V” device, two Defense Meritorious Service Medals, two Joint Service Commendation Medals, two Joint Service Achievement Medals, two Navy Achievement Medals, six Good Conduct Medals, Expert Rifle and Pistol Medals, and various unit and campaign awards.
Master Chief Studdard is married to the former Signe R. Coffer. They have two daughters, Elizabeth and Amanda.
